Westlake Royal Roofing Solutions at PCBC
Westlake Royal Roofing Solutions™, a leader in efficient and durable roofing systems and components, today introduced the new Dream Home Visualizer, an interactive design tool developed to enhance the roof selection experience. The new platform allows builders, contractors, remodelers, and homeowners to “visualize” the exterior of a home with a multitude of roofing material options and trim colors. The Dream Home Visualizer will debut to the industry on June 22 and 23 at PCBC in San Francisco’s Moscone Center at the Westlake Royal Roofing Solutions booth #1151.
The Dream Home Visualizer has also been selected by PCBC to be showcased onsite in the PCBC Solutions Showcase, a walkthrough display of technologies creatively applied to solve real-world builder challenges. All products featured in the Solutions Showcase were chosen from numerous entries by the event organizers and represent this year’s top builder solutions.
“The all-new digital visualizer is an interactive way for both industry professionals and consumers to see how our products will integrate into their home’s exterior design,” says Eric Miller, vice president of sales and marketing for Westlake Royal Roofing Solutions. “It is a user-friendly tool that presents a wide selection of roofing styles and colors and encourages users to have fun swapping out products until they find the right combination to complement the home.”
To begin the visualization process, users may either select from a range of existing residential sample scenes or upload their own home photo or rendering. Once the home is selected, an easy-to-use interface prompts users to select from a range of products and accompanying trim colors. Products featured include Westlake Royal Roofing Solutions’ US Tile®, the legacy line of premium clay tile solutions; Newpoint™ Concrete Tile Roofing, the enduring tile known for its superior strength and Class A fire rating; and Unified Steel™ Stone Coated Roofing, the ultra-lightweight roofing that benefits from the structural strength of steel. Users can easily swap out products until they find the style and color they most prefer.
“The Dream Home Visualizer does not require complicated photo editing, cropping or adjustments in order make your design selection, providing a significant improvement over former tools designed for similar use,” adds Miller.
Tailored interface features, such as selecting the region of the home where the roofing products will be installed, ensure that the products selected through the visualizer experience are available in the region where the roofing will be installed. Once a user locates products they like, the tool offers an option to save their favorite design selections and provides a comprehensive design report, which is auto-generated to include product information and project support. Physical product samples may also be requested for delivery directly within the tool for the customer’s convenience.
The Dream Home Visualizer’s Custom Services feature provides a comprehensive project measurement and design experience. This optional feature allows users to purchase professionally prepared roofing packages and accurate aerial measurements of the property. To begin, the user provides the address of the home on which they wish to visualize roofing products and provides a detailed description of the project. The visualizer software then utilizes satellite imagery of the address supplied to prepare 3D interactive models with accurate measurements.
