New Colors

Trex® Company, a manufacturer of wood-alternative decking and railing, and a leader in high-performance, low-maintenance outdoor living products, is expanding performance and aesthetic options for homeowners with the addition of two new colors to the brand’s popular Trex Enhance® decking line, both featuring heat-mitigating technology coupled with affordability.

“Trex Enhance has been a game-changer for us, for homeowners and for the entire category,” said Leslie Adkins, Group Vice President of Marketing and ESG Development for Trex Company. “Since its introduction in 2019, this collection has allowed many would-be wood decking buyers to make the switch to affordable, high-quality, low-maintenance Trex decking, driving share away from wood. Our newest decking colors in this line raise the bar even higher by combining the ease, performance, and affordability of Enhance decking with the innovation and added benefit of heat-mitigating technology, previously available only in higher-priced Trex offerings.”

Engineered to compete more directly with wood, Trex Enhance features the durability and ease of maintenance for which Trex decking is world-renowned with a scalloped profile that makes the boards lighter weight for easier handling and installation. This innovative design also contributes to their lower cost.

Made from 95% recycled and reclaimed material, Enhance boards feature Trex’s proprietary outer shell, which makes them extremely durable and resistant to fading, staining, and scratching. They won’t rot, warp, or splinter and upkeep is hassle-free with no sanding, staining, or sealing required. Just an occasional cleaning with soap and water is all that is needed to keep boards looking like new for decades.

The Enhance decking line is comprised of two color collections. Enhance basics consists of proven and popular monochromatic shades that will now gain a new subtle, misty grey color named tide pool. Enhance Naturals boards, featuring multi-tonal hues that resemble the streaked looks of natural wood, will now include honey grove, a light, honey brown reflecting evolving consumer trends favoring brown tones.

Adding to their appeal, these two new additions to the Enhance line are engineered with heat-mitigating technology in the shell to reflect UV rays and keep boards cooler than most other composite decking products of a similar color and style.

“We introduced this technology with our Trex Transcend® Lineage™ line and are excited to make it available to a broader range of customers,” noted Adkins. “It’s proven to be a big selling point for contractors and dealers and homeowners absolutely love it.” For added peace of mind, all Trex Enhance boards are backed by a 25-year limited residential and fade and stain warranty.
